And I am ********* with the level of professionalism (or lack there of). I am APPALLED at the way you treat your tenants. I an BAFFLED at your lack of customer service. Come to find out, the owner, was standing right there, listening to how this man spoke to us. So as Im leaving, HE SLAMS THE **** IN MY FACE! So my husband goes up there to request a meeting with the owner to discuss the way that ******* handled our meeting, and was told repeatedly, that wont be happening. He then told me I was trespassing and would be removed by police if I didnt leave the property. This meeting ended by me saying I would just contact news stations to let them know this is how Melrose handles their tenants. From this meeting, I have a 6 minute voice recording of him screaming and speaking to me like garbage, all the while telling ME that I was yelling (naturally loud person, and very rightfully so upset. I requested a meeting with *******, the head of the maintenance crew to discuss why these items wouldnt be addressed. This made ** sense to me, as I wasnt the tenant when these damaged took place. ******* addressed every request individually, however on a bunch of it he started it was tenant incurred. A week later, after several emails from us, multiple calls, and stopped by the office once, we FINALLY receive a response. So we emailed, and put in maintenance requests. However, Its now been a month, and they have barely done anything to rectify the situation. We were very understanding, and very patient. but we understood the miscommunication and were told they would take care of all of the issues. We were told after the fact, the previous potential tenants were going to rent as is however, we were not. Plumbing unplugged and leaking all over the kitchen. We got keys to a home on 5/15, only to walk in to a ***** infested, trash everywhere, broken glass ALL over the yard, giant tree limbs about to fall, fences down. RUN! Dont do business here. This is THE worst rental experience I have ever had. I just received a demand letter in the mail saying they will put a lean on my house and go after my credit if I do not pay them back for the deposit money, "which now they are trying to say its the cost for the plumber that I already paid for a long time ago." Read More The tenants should have never received there deposit money back. The tenants had punched several holes in the sheet rock, left trash all over the house, broke a window out and did not clean the home as stated in the lease agreement. I tried contacting Melrose numerous times through calls, text messages, and emails with no response. Melrose gave the deposit back without consulting with me first. After several weeks of avoiding my calls/emails I got a **** from Melrose saying they gave the tenants there full deposit back and that I were to pay them back for the deposit money. Once the tenants moved out I tried to call ******* and multiple people at the office to schedule a walk through of the home to see how much of the tenants deposit they would get back. Melrose hired a plumber to come out and fix the initial leak, which I paid in full and have receipts for the payments. At the time of the leak Melrose and I both agreed it would be best to let the tenants break the contract so we could get the repairs completed. They did not get the water out of the ducts which eventually led to the ducts collapsing causing thousands of dollars in repairs. Melrose told me they sent a "team" over to clean the water out of the home, but all they did was mop the water up and set 1 dehumidifier in the living room. I ended up having to get the entire duct system coated due to them leaving water in the ducts for a long period of time. I called Melrose about the problem, it took them days to get out to the house to do anything about the leak which caused more damage to the home. I had a tenant living in the home when there was a slab leak that occurred. I previously used Melrose to manage one of my rental properties.
